Animation or video?

How does Dunedin Multimedia's sign language animation compare with live action video? Computer scientists at the University of London used animation we created for the Stories in the Air BSL Dictionary in a study of digital representations of sign language content. They concluded:

'This study provides strong empirical support for the use of Avatar systems, but it should also be taken into account that the signing of the avatar used was of a very high standard.'

The sign for 'thank you' may be the same in both British Sign Language and American Sign Language, but do not be fooled! BSL and ASL are very distinct languages with different roots, vocabulary, grammar and syntax.
